Analysis of accommodation-error at the Navarro Eye

Abstract

|
The accommodation stimulus-response function and its relationship to the retinal image quality were investigated using a modified wavefront sensor. The Navarro accommodation-dependent model of the eyes were also analyzed for a fixed 3-mm pupil diameter and six vergence stimuli between 0.17D and 5D. For each of the vergence distances, the accommodation-refractive power and the modulation transfer function(MTF) were measured. We found that the error calculation of the accommodation-refractive power made some difference with the real eye measurement value. To fix the difference the refractive power errors of the Navarro eye was reduced and the retinal image quality exactly proportion to the accommodation was obtained by accurately designing the accommodation error of the eye model.
